In the course of putting information on my family tree, I notice that there
is a possibility that I might have several ancestors who were Tories. In
fact from these sources, I have
copied the following:
he South Carolina Magazine of Ancestral Research
SCMAR, Volume IX
Number 3, Summer, 1981
Tories Murdered in the South Carolina Upcountry in the Revolution
***George Oswald, ***John Allen, ***Jacob Devalt, ***George Dawkins,
***William Gibson, Jordan ***Gibson, ***Thomas Griffin, ***Daniel
Griffin, ***John Griffin, ***William Griffin,***Jesse Moore, Richard Price,
***John Shepperd

Loyalists in the Southern Campaign of the Revolutionary War, VIII, By Myrtie
June Clark, pg. 416
Loyalist, South Carolina Casualties,
***George Oswald, ...***Patrick Moore, Capt....***Jesse Moore and his three
sons of Long Cane...Kenneth Moore, ***John Shepperd, ***George Superd...
Now my question is where would I go to get more detailed and original
information on these gentlemen who were murdered by the patriots....Anyone
have any suggestions?????

Thank you,
Hope O. Creasman
