" Will of James MORRIS 3 Dec 1778 25 Jan 1779

‘sick and weak of body’

To my wife Elizabeth MORRIS – lend to her a third part of my land & plantation where I now live during her life; lend to her negro fellow Bob, 1 bay mare, 1 feather bed & furniture, etc; after here decease I give the sd negro fellow bok & the personal estate to my son WILLIAM MORRIS. The remainder of the estate to be sold, my debts paid, & then L100 to my son WILLIAM MORRIS, & the remainder to go to my daughter RHODE MORRIS & my daughter Amer MORRIS; should either die before age 21 or they marry, then the dec’d estate to be divided between my other children.

Ex: Capt John VINSON, my father Thomas MORRIS.

Wit: Gracey MORRIS, Thomas MORRIS, James WARDIN, Joshua VINSON.

Probate indicates that Thomas MORRIS qualified with Nathaniel MALONE & Robert POWELL his securities."

Note: MORRIS-MALONE-VINSON are all involved with families of HOLLOWAY-POOLE families. David Thomas Vinson POOL is sure to be a descendant of this VINSON family, as well as POOLE of Southside. Audrey
