Run Down by a Train.

Augusta, Ga., January 3. Forrest Lanier, yard master of the Charleston and Western Carolina railroad at Port Royal, S. C., was struck by a passing train at Beech Island, S. C., this morning. Lanier was in the city Saturday night and his presence at Beech Island cannot be explained. He has not recovered consciousness and will probably die from his injuries.
