I agree that it is an excellent source. I would like to point out something
sometimes overlooked. The "land" conveyance books also have more than land
transactions recorded in the early books. There are transfers of livestock,
slaves, household goods, etc. These show up in the indexes in the early
books but not in land indexes. It takes a lot of time, but I did find some
WILSON records that I would not have found otherwise. Now if I could only
figure out if they were mine...
