Surname: CLINKSCALES, MILLER, McALLISTER, LAFAYETTE

My great grandmother was Sallie CLINKSCALES, B: ca 1830. I suspect she
was held in slavery in the Diamond Hill area, just NW of Lowndesville in
Abbeville County. We have no oral history regarding her parents or siblings.
She bore at least two daughters by Thomas MILLER, not sure if they were
married. Harriette MILLER, (1855) AND Leathea MILLER,(1859). Sallie later
lived with Andrew McALLISTER,until her death in the early 1900's. Leathea,
My grand mother, married Lemuel LAFAYETTE. They had five daughtres, Carrie,
Minnie, Rosa, Florence and Leola. Florence was my mother. I have not been
able to learn anymore about Sallie.
