New Bridge Messener, Vol 4, No 2, August 1963:

Mrs. Felix Davis of Atlanta,Ga., passed away on July 31st.
The former Miss Nellie Shellhouse, daughter of the late Mr.
Henry Shellhouse of the oldest settlers of our area and
Mrs. Mahalie Hancock Shellhouse, of Darlington, S.C. She
was the wife of the late Mr. Davis and had made her home
in Atlanta for the past 50 years. Interment in West View Abbey, Atlanta.

Mrs. Davis is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Willie Mae
Sherer, of Lake Wales, Florida, and Mrs. E.G. Tyler, of
Aiken, and a number of neices and nephews. It was only
in the May issue that we sadly chronicled the pasing of
Mrs. Davis sister, Evie, (Mrs. J.H. Cushman, see May Issue,
page 11), Mrs. Cushman passing away on March 30th. Many
the pleasant hours we spent in their homes when in
our 'teens.
