Mary Clark Scammon was born April 26, 1802 in Strathum New Hampshire;
daughter of William Scammon and Sarah Robinson

William Scammon served in the Revolution, entering the Army at the age of 19.
In 1777, he was in Capt. Nicholas Rollins Company which took part in the
battles at Stillwater and Saratoga and was present at the surrender of
Burgoyne. By the will of his father, he received one-half of the farm. The
division was made by a board of referees who divided the farm and assigned
the northern half to William and the southern half to his brother James. At
the end of the year,James appeared before the board and felt that the half
assigned to him did not represent one-half of the farm and offered $500.00 to
william if he would exchange halves. William was very reluctant to exchange
but took the southern half and later regretted it. In 1810 he sold out and
moved to New York. William and Sarah had 5 children born in New Hampshire.

Mark CLark Scammon married Lewis Price February 29, 1824
Lewis died APril 27, 1879.

They had 6 children
*Johnthan D. Price b. Sept 22, 1825 md. Dec 15 1847 to E.L. Pratt they had 4
children

*Sarah S Price b. May 9, 1828 and d March 26, 1869; md. February 22, 1861, to
W. French.

*Periam Price b, May 2, 1834 and d. April 27, 1879; md. September 15, 1857 to
Mary C. Dimick.

*Elizabeth Price b. November 25, 1836

*Martha Jane Price b. September 18, 1839; md. March 22, 1870 to Jerry French

*Enos J. Price. b. January 14, 1842 and d. November 6, 1863; md. March 9,
1858 to Eliza Fritz who died February 14, 1860. No children


Mary's Scammon ancestors are William---> Richard----> William----> Richard

Mary's g grandfather William was one of the petitioners in the founding if
the present town of Strathan NH.

Do you have information on Mary's ancestors?? (Richard, William and Richard)
