My grandfather was William Jennings (WJ) Bryan Brown, a son of George Washington and Mary Cordell Brown, and a grandson of John W. and Phoebe B. L. Anthony Brown of the Diamond Springs area near Gregg Shoals, upper Abbeville County. My grandfather also later lived in Iva, in Anderson County. My grandmother was Ada Hall Brown Wiles of Iva, SC, a daughter of ASJ and Ella Dixon Hall. My father, Gerald Brown, who is their son, has a publication of this Brown Family History with some information on the Cordell's:

"The Descendants of John W. Brown of Diamond Springs, Upper Abbeville and Lower Anderson County, First Edition 1990."

The publication was originally typed by my father and has an index-weight cover bound with a plastic ring binding.
