I have an article from the Anderson paper that tells an unusual story about the mother of Abe Lincoln living there in Craytonville and about his father being John C. Calhoun and I can send it to whoever wants it.

Hi,

Has anyone seen, read or been told about the history of Craytonville? I've
picked up anecdotes about people who lived in or around Craytonville as it
used to be on a main route. I know there was an old well there near the
cross roads.at least I think it was a cross roads.but I can't seem to find
out who the town was named for, when it began, etc. Does anyone know?
