Librarys here have different lenses for use with microfilms. I usually keep
parts of pages to include with family history even if the full page is
copied for reference.
If microfilm is available for purchase, a film scanner for uncut 35mm film
would give the best image of pages up to 11x17 inch originals. USB scanner
is about the size of a book. A more elaborate film/slide scanner requires
cut film.
