Hello,
I would like to know if anyone has any information on a Rev. Lovick Pierce? Someone told me, that he was located in Barnwell, Co. S.C. at one time. He was born in 1785, in Halifax Co. N.C., and he had a brother by the name of Reddick that was also a minister. They were admitted to preach in 1804 and its said, he had the Great Peedee Circuit of Southeastern S.C. He was a Methodist minister.

The reason I ask about him, is I have an ancestor by the name of Lovick Pierce Jordan, and feel like he was named for this minister, and he was born in 1807 in S.C., but don't know where. I feel his parents must have known or been connected to this Rev. Lovick Pierce.

I have checked the census for Jordans, in 1810, for Barnwell, Co., and I believe there were some Jordans listed, and it looks like there was a John Jordan, James Jordan, Nathan Jordan, and maybe a Patric or Patrick Jordan, and was wondering if my Lovick Pierce Jordan could have belonged to one of these.

If anyone has any info on any of these people that I've listed, I would love to hear from you!

Thank you very much, Becky Carden,
