Becky - have you checked the other SC Genweb counties, such as Allendale Co
(which was originally Barnwell Dist, and also at different times was Winton
Co, Orangeburg Dist, Beaufort Co, Hampton Co, and I think there was one more.
It gets confusing when one property becomes so many counties over a long
period of time. If you don't have the URLs, here is Allendale Co Genweb, and
we have a whole lot of church records, cemeteries, etc. I have been trying
to help Dr Clark for the past few years by transcribing several records out
of Allendale on the Savannah. That would be a good place to start, and you
can link to the other counties from there.

Hope this might help.

Hi Judy,
Thank you for responding! I really appreciate it.

I have been unable to find anything on my Lovick Pierce Jordan, and since I
am almost sure he must have been named for the Rev. Lovick Pierce, I thought
maybe his parents lived near him, or they belonged to his church, or maybe
he married them.

There were some Jordans, in Barnwell Co., but I can't seem to find whether
any of them had a Lovick Pierce Jordan. From what I've seen, it doesn't
seem as if they did.

Someone else suggested, maybe the Rev. Pierce had a sister that married a
Jordan, but looks like he only had the one brother Reddick, so I am still
trying to solve the mystery.

If you find anything else about a Lovick Pierce Jordan, born in 1807 in S.C.
please let me know.

Thanks so much, Becky Carden >>
