My wife's grandmother was a HUTTO a descendant in the Isaac Hutto Line. I have a good bit of Hutto data and will prepare a complete response to List in a few days - I'm healing from a broken right upper arm that is now doing well but its almost inpossible to write/type with left hand. Your Hutto data posting is very helpful.

Generation No. 1

1. Isaac Hutto, Sr. was born Abt. 1695 in Germany, and died August 15,
1752 in Orangeburg, SC. He married Maria Catharina.

Notes for Isaac Hutto, Sr.:
Arrived on the ship OLIVER from Rotterdam July 1735 in Charleston.

"In July, 1735, it appears that another 200 persons from Germany arrived in
Charles Town from Rotterdam. They arrived on a ship called Oliver after a
voyage of nine weeks. Among these new colonists were Isaac Hutto, his wife Maria
Catherina and four children. The children included Sarah, who was nine years
old. This family did sell themselves as indentured servants. After their term was
finished in 1739, Isaac received a grant of 350 acres six miles west of the
village of Orangeburg. Like the other settlers of Orangeburg, he received some
tools and provisions from the British government."

John Howell notes that her maiden name may be Von Stern

2. Peter2 Hutto (Isaac) was born Abt. 1725. He married Margaret Barbara
Shuler January 01, 1749/50, daughter of Hans Shuler and Anna Laver.

Children of Peter Hutto and Margaret Shuler are:
+ 11 i. John Henry3 Hutto, born December 25, 1752 in Orangeburg, S.C.;
died October 24, 1817 in Orangeburg, SC.
12 ii. Isaac Hutto, born December 04, 1750.
13 iii. Martin Hutto, born April 01, 1755.

11. John Henry3 Hutto (Peter2, Isaac) was born December 25, 1752 in
Orangeburg, SC, and died October 24, 1817 in Orangeburg, SC. He married Anne
Katherine Zorn January 05, 1780 in Orangeburg, SC, daughter of Henry Zorn and
Elizabeth.

Child of John Hutto and Anne Zorn is:
+ 14 i. William4 Hutto, born March 23, 1787; died April 21, 1863 in
Barnwell Co.,S.C..

14. William4 Hutto (John Henry3, Peter2, Isaac) was born March 23, 1787,
and died April 21, 1863 in Barnwell Co.,S.C.. He married Lucy Montgomery.

Children of William Hutto and Lucy Montgomery are:

15. John5 Hutto (William4, John Henry3, Peter2, Isaac). He married
Athelia Theny Guess.

+ 17 i. Mary Elizabeth6 Hutto, born June 18, 1833; died July 26, 1906 in
Denmark, SC.

17. Mary Elizabeth6 Hutto (John5, William4, John Henry3, Peter2, Isaac)
was born June 18, 1833, and died July 26, 1906 in Denmark, SC. She married
Ernest Christian Behling April 22, 1855 in Barnwell Co.,S.C., son of Conrad
Behling and Metta Ehlers.

Notes for Ernest Christian Behling:
Occupation - Carpenter/Speculator/Merchant
Naturalization Record - Barnwell Co. - Sessions Journal 1841-1856 pg. 278-9.
Oct. 23, 1852, arrived in US, Dec. 2, 1844 Charleston, SC at age of 13.
Had brothers John and Henry. Originally from Bremen, Germany.



Children of Mary Hutto and Ernest Behling are:
+ 18 i. Hilma Thenia7 Behling, born January 29, 1863 in Grahams, Barnwell
Co, SC; died May 01, 1943 in Dunbarton, SC (buried in Swallow Savannah
Cemetery).
19 ii. Martha F. Behling, born December 16, 1855; died June 25, 1860 in
Denmark, S.C..
20 iii. John Hutto Behling, born May 04, 1857; died June 1860 in
Denmark, S.C..
+ 21 iv. Alice R J Behling, born December 06, 1859 in Grahams, Barnwell
Co., S.C.; died December 13, 1898 in Grahams, Barnwell Co., S.C.
