I am trying to find more information on Zachariah Story of Berkeley County,
South Carolina. It seems that he went to live with his brother Rowland
Story about 1718 as a 13 year old. He married Mary Ellis March 10 1728/29
in St. Andrews Parish per The South Carolina Historical and Genealogical
Magazine Society Vol. XIII 26. I know that Zachariah was living in 1732
on James Island, Perotown, SC. Zachariah Story's daughter, Elizabeth married
Ephraim Mosher in Dutchess County, New York in 1750. He was a Quaker. Was
there a Quaker group in James Island in the early 1700's? Also where can
I go for more information about Zachariah Story. I know that he died in
the malaria epidemic of 1732. His wife married a Sisson and moved with
her two children to Dutchess County, New York. Also where would I find
the Will of Zachariah Story, I just have the Abstract.
Any help would really be appreciated.
