Dear John: You sound like you are in the area- Do you know anything of the
Ralph Izard & Rebecca Axtell descendants? Their daughter Sarah married Lord
William Campbell and their children (though raised in England) inherited
land at Wasmesaw whos trustees were Middletons. The plantation at Wassmasaw
(don't know what happened) was in Campbell estate as of 1789, and also
Inverary Plantation at Beaufort-Now I find that the son, William Conway
Campbell turned insane, and has no record of being married (that I find) and
it looks like his wife married someone else quick to cover up. We have
always been told exactly who we decsend from (minus the insanity) and I
don't know why they would make up some random crazy Campbell- Sarah's sister
also married a Colin Campbell and owned property in Beaufort- do you know
any Izards and is there a DNA test, or do you know anything abut Wassmesaw?
thank you very much, Melinda de Wees Rockwell
