Earnest Walter Bonnette, Jr., 71, of St. Stephen, SC, a retired computer
operator for Piggly Wiggly Carolina, died Thursday in a local nursing home.
The funeral will be 4:00 PM Sunday afternoon, Nov. 26, 2006, in the St.
Stephen Evangelical Church. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call at DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, from 5:00 until
7:00 PM this Saturday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the
Palmetto Health Hospice, PO Box 50820, Summerville, SC 29485. Mr. Bonnette
was born Jan. 7, 1936, in Cope, SC, a son of Earnest W. Bonnette, Sr., and Ruth
Workman Bonnette. He was an Air Force veteran and a member of the St.
Stephen Evangelical Church. Mr. Bonnette was a member of Mt. Hope Lodge #128 AFM.
Surviving are, his wife, Donna Lynn Guerry Sweatman Bonnette; a daughter,
Karen Jernigan and her husband, A.L., of St. Stephen; four sons, Robert Bonnette
and his wife, Crystal, of St. Stephen, Joey Sweatman and his wife, Debbie, of
Macedonia, Jeff Sweatman and his wife, Vivian, of St. George, and Ross
Sweatman of St. Stephen; two sisters, Rhonda Hayden and her husband, Haskell, of
Cope, and Jody Morris and her husband, Allen, of Columbia; two brothers, O.B.
Bonnette and his wife, Natalie, of Bamberg, and Dr. Harris Bonnette and his
wife, Mary, of Ft. Myers, FL; ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
