Colleton County - Joseph H. Stokes
In the BOOK OF STOKES by J. Lemacks Stokes, there is a mention of a Joseph
H. Stokes, born about the right time. If this is your man, he was the son
of Williams Stokes and Ann Risher Stokes - He married Mildred Syphret and
Elizabeth Mixson. His sons listed as W. Fred Stokes and Joseph Henry Stokes.
I am a descendant of his sister - Amelia Ann Stokes.
