I have a copy of Mill's Map of Barnwell, 1815 (?), which shows little
squares (presumably farms). Two of them show my family names - MAXWELL and
RUMPH. Can someone answer questions about the map? For example, would a
square represent a Maxwell family which lived there or simply that Maxwell
owned that land?

The reason I ask is because Maxwells did own land in Barnwell but I'm not
sure if that is the exact location. Someone said our Maxwells may not have
actually lived in Barnwell, just owned land there.
