I'm not sure if they are the same. It's strange that they have the same
name. According to my family, Eleanor's family had a plantation that Sherman
destroyed on his march to the sea. Eleanor was the mother of my great great
grandfather, Medicus Peeples Vaughan who was born in around 1836, but of
that I'm not sure. MP had a brother named Henry. Eleanor married a Carter
after she was married to a Vaughan. Eleanor is buried as a Carter at Carter's
Ford baptist church in Lodge, SC. What do you think?
