Krystal, I thank you for that info! This Colleton Co. List is often useful
to me. The problem now is for me to find out the maiden name of Thomas
Loftin's wife Mary! Probably, Mary is a child of one of the Loftin familys
neighbors (in old Baltimore and Cecil Counties. MD)which include at least
the following possibilies; Perkins,Corzine(Cuzzins, Cousins, etc) Teague,
Boring, Smith, Balch, Johnson, Cresap and Ives. My personal choice would
be Cresap - but elements of all those families moved from MD to Frederick
Co. VA (now Berkeley Co and Jefferson County, WV) Thomas Lofton's will
mentions Lindseys and Ruthersfords but I think they became friends after
arriving in Fred. Co and Berkeley Co. There are many unexplained mysteries
to the migrations of all of those families but it is pretty clear that
they often intermarried!
