I am also researching the ancestry of Jacob Carter of Carter's Ford on the Salkehatchie River in Colleton County, SC. I found your statement interesting about your thoughts on the ancestry of Jacob Carter. It read as follows: "I think Jacob CARTER was the son of George CARTER, Moore CARTER's brother."
