I'm really at a loss as to where John Blocker came from. All I know for sure,. is that my Great great grandfather, James W. was born around 1812, based on age listed in Scott Co, Mo. Census. According to one of his great grandsons, he remembered being told that James was born in Tn. This would have to be mid to eastern Tn, as the west portion wasn't opened for settlement until the 1830's. Most of my other family members are in West Tn, coming there from NC. There are Blockers in the same area of SE Mo. at the same time, but no connection can be made yet. No one seems to know where for sure they came to Mo. from. ...no tie can be found to the Edgefield Blockers. I had hoped I could find a Colleton Co. connection...that maybe someone knew of a brother that went to Tn or Mo. in their research. I know for sure, that we have to fit in with either the Colleton or Edgefield Blockers somewhere. This family and my Wylie line have, by far, been my most illusive. You may e-mail me !
