thank you very much for the givhan info.no,i have no connection to philip givhan.i do note in your posting that you list the 2nd wife of job givhan as jemima muckenfuss clayton.what is this based on?jemima was a sister of my gggg-grandfather thomas muckenfuss.jemima is listed as jemima clayton in her obit.
do you know of any connection between the milhous family and the sleigh or harden families?
yes,i think the family history by eliza miller was the one i noted.there was a story about givhans in the charleston newspaper a few years ago.in it they mentioned this old family history.
i have long been trying to fill in some of the blanks in my canaday and muckenfuss families.in looking for the wives maiden names i keep an eye out for anything on nearby families.one of these was the givhan family.
