Hope you get this as your message was posted quite awhile back. I too am looking for info on this Owen Bunting. My husband's gg grandfather was Archibald Charles Bunting (Bunton) b. Sept. 1854 in Colleton Co. His father was Owen Bunton Jr b.abt. 1815 and his father an Owen Bunton Sr., Owen Jr. was from Colleton also. Archibald married Francis Elizabeth Hornsby1st, and Laura Sumner 2nd. He moved just below Bruswick, Ga. and then to Fl. Archibald had a brother named James Steven (Stephen?) Bunton. Please contact me if you have found out anything about these Owens, or think Archibald and James could also be children of his. Thanks.
