I've never heard of Fish Pond Plantation, either (I found one in Berkeley County). Fish
Pond Church appears on Hwy 362 in this map of modern Bamberg County (sorry for the bad
scan - This map's been through a lot).

It's near Lemon Creek, and swampy in some areas. This is just a few miles south of
Bamberg, but some addresses in this area (although in Bamberg County) may be Branchville.
Thomas Raysor owned acreage north of 21 and west of 362, but I don't know how far north it
is. In the 1880 Census forward, they appear as being in "Fish Pond," changing from
Barnwell to Bamberg in the 1900 Census. There's a Raysor Road that goes west from 362,
just north or where 614 comes in. It is just a winding road going back through older
single family homes (c.1920's?) and individual mobile homes. I assume that his is part of
the original Raysor land.
In earlier Census records, Thomas Raysor, Sr. appears in "America" in Barnwell District,
but I'm not sure that it is the same land. In 1850 he had remarried, and this may have
been his second wife's property. She was Mary Ayer, widow of William Dicks. I don't find
the property listed by township or political district in the 1860 or 1870 Census of
Barnwell County (only on 1860 Slave Schedule for "Estate of Rayzor").
