VIRGINIA BYRD THAMES TWITTY of Hartsville, Sc., 78, died June 5, 1999.
Funeral services were held in First Baptist Church. Burial followed in
the Magnolia Cemetery, directed by Brown-Pennington-Adkins Funeral Home.

Born in Bolton, Nc., she was a daughter of the late Duncan Alexander and
Rebecca
Virginia Byrd Thames.

Surviving are her husband, Hubert Twitty, of Hartsville, Sc. Sons,
Wilson Twitty of Anderson, Sc. and Randy Twitty of Sumter, Sc. Daughter,
Pat Shelley of Hartsville, Sc. Sisters, Betty Hucks of Aynor, Sc. and
Doris Thames of Columbia, Sc. 8 grandchildren

CHARLES EDWARD SEGARS of Hartsville, Sc., 71, died June 6, 1999.
Funeral services were held in Hartsville Advent Christian Church. Burial
followed in Westview Memorial Park Cemetery, directed by
Brown-Pennington-Adkins Funeral Home.

Born in Williamsburg County, he was a son of the late Henry Corbett and
Mae Wingate Segars.

Surviving are brothers, James H. Segars of Marion, Sc. Haskell E. Segars
of Estill, Sc. and Edwin B. Segars of Atlantic Beach, Fl. Sister,
Jacqueline S. Padgett of Walterboro, Sc. and a cousin, Era S. Mozingo of
Hartsville, Sc/
