MARGARET BOSEMAN SEVERANCE of
Darlington, Sc. 68, died June 27, 1999.
Funeral services were held in Darlington Presbyterian Church. Burial
followed in Grove Hill Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home.
Born in Darlington County, she was a daughter of the late Cleveland
Boseman and Naomi White Boseman Segars. She was raised in Thornwell
orphanage and graduated from Montreat College. Mrs Severance worked with
Social Services and taught school in the Darlington School District. She
was pre-deceased by a brother, Thomas (Buddy) Segars.
Surviving are her husband, J. Ray Severance of Darlington, Sc. three
daughters, Mrs. Stephen (Meg) Eliason of Florence, Sc., Mrs Mike
(Monica) Brand of Darlington, Sc. and Melissa R. Severance; two
brothers, Randy Segars of Florence, Sc. and Steve Segars of Tennessee;
and 5 grandchildren
CLARA LOUISE ROGERS of Bennettsville, Sc., 64, died June 20, 1999.
Funeral services were held in Mount Olivet Baptist Church. Burial
followed in the church cemetery, directed by Brown-Pennngton-Adkins
Funeral Home.
Born in Chesterfield County, she was a daughter of the late Jim and
Lottie Brigman O'Neal.
Surviving are two half-brothers, Enoch . O'Neal of Blenheim, Sc. and
Enoch Junior O'Neal of Patrick, Sc.; and five half-sisters, Dorothy
Chapman of Society Hill, Sc., Mary C. Perdue, Annie S. Gainey and
Maybell Crowley, all of Patrick, Sc. and Geneva Lawson of Columbia, Sc.
JESSICA JAIME TADLOCK of Darlington, Sc., 22, died June 27, 1999, at her
residence. Funeral arrangements were incomplete at press time and will
be announced by Belk Funeral Home.
REGAN ELIZABETH JORDAN of Darlington, Sc., infant daughter of Timothy
and Renee Lyons Jordan, died June 27, 1999. Graveside funeral services
were held in Pine Grove Methodist Church Cemetery, directed by Belk
Funeral Home.
Surviving in addition to her parents, are paternal grandmother, Iris
Jordan of Darlington, Sc.; maternal grandparents, Joanne W. Lyons of
Darlington, Sc. and David Lyons of Tennessee.
LUCRETIA GILLIARD DAVIS of New York, formerly of Hartsville, Sc. died
June 12, 1999. Funeral services were held in Centenary Methodist Church.
Burial followed in Greenlawn Cemetery, directed by Hines Funeral Home.
Born in Darlington County, she was a daughter of the late Rivers and
Margaret Ketter Gilliard. Mrs. Davis practiced midwifery. She was a
widow of both John Allen and Theodore Davis and also pre-deceased by a
daughter, Betty Lou Allen.
Surviving are one brother, Omega Gilliard of Hartsville, Sc. and 4
grandchildren.
