MULLINS - W. Carlisle Rouse, 83, died Tuesday, May 21, 2002, at Carolinas Hospital System in Florence after an illness.
He was born Aug. 6, 1918, in Dillon County, a son of the late Willie Robert and Maude Miller Rouse.
He was a farmer. He was an Army veteran and served during World War II. He was a member of Fork Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Adult Men's Sunday School class.
Survivors include his wife, Veata Page Rouse; five sons, Jimmy C. Rouse and his wife, Elaine, of Marion, Aubrey Rouse and his wife, Dianne, of Lake View, Clayton Rouse and his wife, Linda, of Fork, Kenny Rouse and his wife, Jean, of Fork and Gene Rogers and his wife, Betty, of Charleston; two daughters, Tammy Floyd and her husband, Lamar, of Fork and Marian Sanderson and her husband, Hoyt, of Mullins; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Clara Henry of Latta and Ethel Lake of Fall River, Mass.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at Fork Baptist Church. The Rev. Eddie Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.
