Louise W. Hatchell
LATTA -- Louise W. Hatchell, 92, died Friday, May 24, 2002, at Carolinas Hospital System in Florence.
Born in Greenville County, Nov. 13, 1909, Mrs. Hatchell was a daughter of the late Wilder B. Wilson and Ernestine Hammond Wilson. She was a homemaker and married to the late Oscar James Hatchell.
Mrs. Hatchell was an active member of the Catfish Creek Baptist Church. A member of the Pineland Grange; Chairman of the Bicentennial Committee at Catfish Creek Baptist Church; member of the Homemaker Club; Master Farm Homemakers Guild.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2002, at Catfish Creek Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery directed by Kannaday's Funeral Home of Latta. Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, May 26, 2002, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hatchell is survived by sons, Oscar James (Joyce) Hatchell Jr. of Dillon and Wilder (Anne) Hatchell of Florence; a daughter, Mabel H. (Jack) Allen of Latta; brothers, H.W. (Woody) Wilson and R.W. (Bob) Wilson, both of Greenville; two grandsons, Laurie Allen and Lafon Allen of Latta; four granddaughters, Beverly H. Elmore of Mauldin, Janet H. Austin of Piedmont, Stephanie H. Allen of Florence and Shannon Hatchell of Greenville; a great-grandson, Hunter Allen of Latta and a great-great granddaughter, Courtney Allen of Florence.
Memorials may be made to the Catfish Creek Baptist Church Sunday School Building Fund, 1495 Catfish Church Rd., Latta, SC 29565.
