Mildred Hayes

FLORENCE - Mildred Strickland Hayes, 65, died Monday, August 9, 2004, at her
residence after an illness.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2004, at Waters-Powell
Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens. The
family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

She was born in Marion, SC, a daughter of the late Sprunt and Gertrude
Landrum Strickland. She was predeceased by her first husband, A.J. Foust.

Mrs. Hayes was a floor supervisor for Electro-Motive and was also employed
by Phillips 66. She was a member of Hoffmeyer Road Baptist Church and the
Young at Heart Sunday School Class.

Survivors include three sons, Terry C. (Christine) Foust of N. Augusta, SC,
Mickey Lee Foust and Phillip D. Foust, both of Florence; a sister, Hazel T.
Northcutt of Columbia; three grandsons, Brad Christopher Foust, David Jason
Foust, and Patrick Jess Foust Rogers; four granddaughters, Crystal Lynne
Foust, Kimberly Lee Foust, Jessica Lee Foust, and Mindy Marie Foust.

She was predeceased by a brother, Jimmy Lee Strickland.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 950 48th Ave., N,
Suite 101, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.
