George Burgess Moody

(December 13, 1931 - January 13, 2005)

DILLON

Services for George Burgess Moody will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday in Dillon
First Baptist Church with burial in Evergreen Cemetery with Masonic Rites
directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 6-9 P.M. Saturday
in the funeral home.

Mr. Moody, 73, died Thursday, January 13, 2005 in Grand Strand Regional
Medical Center.

Born in Dillon, SC, December 13, 1931, he was the son of the late Marvin
Fletcher Moody and Alice Pearl Moulds Moody. He was a member of Dillon First
Baptist Church, member of Macky Lodge #77, the Little Pee Dee Shrine Club
for 25 years, past president of the Omar Indy Racers, was a volunteer
fireman for the City of Dillon for 23 years, and he owned and operated
Dillon Auto Electric for 37 years. Mr. Moody was a U.S. Army Veteran.
Survivors include his sons, Burgess (Charis) Moody of Huntersville, NC, Greg
(Rae) Moody of Raleigh, NC and Wallace (Michelle) Moody of Dillon;
grandchildren, Austin Moody, Mary Moody and Makenna Moody; sisters, Connie
Murrell and June Caviness, both of Myrtle Beach; brother, Julian Moody of
Florida.

Mr. Moody was preceded in death by his wife, Betty W. Moody.

Dillon, SC 29536 or to the Little Pee Dee Shrine Club
