MYRTLE BEACH | Aisley Love Kenny, 86, died Wednesday, February 7, 2007
at home surrounded by loved ones.

She was born September 6, 1920 in Dillon County, South Carolina, a daughter
of the late James M. and Eva Coats Love.

Mrs. Kenny was predeceased by her beloved husband, Patrick J. Kenny Jr.; a
son, Patrick J. Kenny III; a brother, Vincent N. Love; and a son-in-law,
Herbie Hart.

Aisley graduated from Latta High School in 1937. After high school, worked
for Macks 5&10, rising to the position of Manager in Raeford, N.C.

During World War II she worked for Civil Service at Laurinburg Maxton Army
Air Base, retiring after she was married to raise a family.

When her children entered college, she began working again at the Army Air
Force Exchange Service and retired in 1974.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she served as G.A. Director,
President of the W.M.U., a Sunday School teacher and various church
committees.

Aisley was a member of the ''Seaside Emmaus Community'' and a former member
of the Christian Women's Club.

She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary where she served as
Chaplin.

In 1983, after her son's death, she began a personal ministry of reaching
out to bereaved parents. She also became a bereavement volunteer with Mercy
Hospice of Horry County.

In 1985, along with her husband, Pat and two other ladies, she applied for
and received a charter from the National Organization of the ''Compassionate
Friends'' to start a local chapter, naming it ''The Waccamaw Chapter.'' This
chapter still serves Horry and Georgetown counties. There are over 800
chapters in the United States. This is a self-help international organization
offering friendship and understanding to bereaved parents and siblings.

Survivors include two daughters, Terry Gaskin and her husband, Rick, of
Pawleys Island, S.C. and Debbie Hart of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; four grandchildren,
Kerri G. Amerman and her husband, Geoff, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Erin Gaskin of
Luzern, Switzerland, Calvin Hart III and Keegan Hart, both of Myrtle Beach,
S.C.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2007 at First Baptist
Church of Myrtle Beach with the Rev. Bruce Crawford and the Rev. Dr. Stan
Smith officiating. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Cemetery in
Conway, S.C.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. at McMillan-Small Funeral Home
on Friday, February 9, 2007.
