Dallas "Jake" Scott, 76, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007, in the McLeod Hospice
House in Florence.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday in Cooper Funeral Home
Chapel with burial in Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation
will be 7-9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Born in Dillon County, February 2, 1931, he was the son of the late Arch
Scott and Ola Woodell. He attended Bethlehem Baptist Church, and he loved
fishing.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Jean Scott of Latta; daughter, Shelby Poston
of Latta; sons, Millard Scott and Perry Scott both of Latta, Thurmond Scott,
and Laverne Scott both of Nichols; special daughter-in-law, Teresa Scott of
Nichols; 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sons, Franklin and Jimmy Lee Scott; and a
great-grandson, Matthew Spivey.
