LORIS | Katie Blanche Mincey, 85, died Tuesday, October 2, 2007 in Loris
Extended Care Facility.

She was the widow of Johnny Carson ''J.C.'' Mincey.

Born in Dillon, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and
Straudy Ingram Hyatt.

Mrs. Mincey is survived by three daughters, Shirley Ann Wood of North Myrtle
Beach, and Samantha Miller and Betty Gause, both of Loris; one brother,
Hardy Hyatt of Dillon; one sister, Kathleen Raynor of Fairmont, N.C.; three
grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2007, in the Inman
Chapel with interment in North Myrtle Beach Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be
from 7 until 9 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
