LATTA — Graveside memorial services for Betty Hendley Fairey will be held
11:00 a.m. Friday in Magnolia Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, September 11 at the residence, 115 Park
Lane, Latta.
Mrs. Fairey, 80, died Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Commander Nursing Center
in Florence.
Born in Charleston, SC, December 4, 1927, she was the daughter of the late
Coit Taylor Hendley and Ruth Lois Denaro Hendley. She was raised in Columbia
and attended Columbia High School and the University of South Carolina where
she was a member of the Delta Delta Delta Sorority, and was a member of St.
Barnabas Episcopal Church. She was the widow of the late Robert Tillman Fairey,
Jr.
Survivors include her daughters, N. Kenyon Fairey of Shutesbury,
Massachusetts, and Robyn & Dean Richardson of Latta; grandchildren, Ryan Kenyon
Richardson and Eryn Lou Richardson.
Memorials may be made to Camp Debbie Lou, 1127 Haymount Rd., Latta, SC 29565,
or to the Latta Rescue Squad, 107 N. Railroad Ave., Latta, SC 29565.
