Gladys B. Hayes, 79, died Thursday, December 11, 2008, in Sunny Acres Nursing
Home.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel
with burial in Tart Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Saturday in the
funeral home.
Born in Dillon, SC, July 22, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Amos
Berry and Isla Mae Rouse Berry. She was a member of Little Bless Holiness
Church.
Survivors include her children, Douglas Whittington of Conway, Harvey Berry
of Latta, Charlie Berry of Rowland, Alice Cusaac of Nashville, TN, Barney
Whittington, and Amos Whittngton both of Princeton, West VA; caregiver, Lynette
Jackson of Latta; brothers, Wilbur Berry of Blenheim, Oscar Berry of Latta,
Carl Berry, and Carlisle Berry both of North Myrtle Beach; sisters, Margaret
Blanton of Longs, Evelyn Platt of North Myrtle Beach, Maybell Ellis of Latta,
Ailene Cooper of Blenheim, and Pauline Williams of Marion; 13 grandchildren
and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Rouse Berry.
