DILLON — Graveside services for Elizabeth Hamilton Stackhouse will be held
3:00 p.m. Friday in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-3 p.m. prior
to the service at Cooper Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stackhouse, 88, died Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at the Carolina
Hospital System in Florence.
Born in Dillon, SC, March 29, 1920, she was the daughter of the late William
Race Hamilton and Addie Clark Hamilton. She was a member of Main Street
United Methodist Church, and was retired from Dixiana Mill after 20 years of
service. She was the widow of the late William Bethea Stackhouse, Jr.
Survivors include her daughters, Molly Arnette Poole and her husband, Charles
of Florence, and Betty Stackhouse Norris and her husband, Mike of Sunset
Beach, NC; son, Bill Stackhouse and his wife Nancy of Hamer; grandchildren,
Coney Arnette, Dee Cook, Dorie S. Altman, Bill Stackhouse, IV, and Keri M.
Stackhouse; 9 great-grandchildren.
