LATTA — Services for Woodrow Robert English, Jr. will be held 3:00 p.m.
Sunday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Sunset Memorial Park in
Bennettsville. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Saturday in Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. English, 66, died Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at his residence after an
extended illness.
Born in Dillon County, July 4, 1942, he was the son of the late Woodrow
Robert English, Sr. and Shadie Lane English. He was a member of Manning Chapel,
and was retired with the City of Bennettsville.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy English of Latta; children, Woodrow Robert
(Vickie) English, III of Chesterfield, Donna Kaye Webster of Biscoe, NC,
Steven (Harriett) English of Biscoe, NC, Randy (Tammy) Rogers of Latta, Revonda
(Freddi) Meggs of McColl, and Tina Meggs (John) Kollock of Bennettsville;
sisters, Sally Morton of Laurinburg, Sheila (Sonny) Phillips of Latta, and
Shirley Swann of Bennettsville; brothers, Floyd (Carolyn) English and Tracey
(Gail) English, both of Blenheim, Lewis (Betty) English, of Latta, and Jerry
(Patsy) English of Grifton, NC; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
Mr. English was preceded in death by his two grandsons; and his sister, Doris
Roy.
