Hi! I am especially appealing to all Moorer researchers, but I would accept
information from anyone!

Jacob D. D. Weimer, born in 1830 in the Orangeburgh District, married Jane
Martha Way of the present area of Dorchester and Ridgeville, about 1852-53.
They had one daughter, Anna Elizabeth, then Jane died in 1858.

Sometime prior to 1863 when a son, John Pinckney was born, Jacob married
Martha C. Moorer. I have no other information about Martha C., her parents,
when whe was born or died (she is not listed with them in the 1870 census),
or where she was buried. In searching through various records, the only
"likely" prospect I have located is a Martha listed in the household of
Samuel E. and Dorcas C. Moorer in the 1850 census. This household was
#110/111 in the area "between the River Road from Orangeburgh to Branchville
and Four Hole Swamp." From the nearest neighbors, I suspect they were very
close to present day Bowman.

Does anyone have any information about Martha C. who married Jacob Weimer, or
about the daughter of Samuel and Dorcas which might either eliminate her as a
possibility, or leave her as a viable candidate for Martha C.?

Thank you!
Bettie Berry
