Can anyone on the list tell me whether or not marriage records were
recorded in SC ca 1830-40? . If so, would they be in the county or at
the state archives?

If the marriage took place in the area near Ridgeville would that have
been Dorchester co at thiat time or some other county or parish?

And would probate records be at the state archives or in the county?
