I may be the last one to find this great resource for historic maps at the Univ. of
Alabama, but I wanted to share. If you view it as a .jpg file, you can zoom in and pan to
left, right, up, down. They are in a high enough resolution, that zooming in to view a
particular county gives a good clear image:
