The following was published in THE STATE, Feb 13, 1971.
GREENWOOD - James Thomas Coursey, 54, died Friday in a local hospital
after a short illness. Funeral services will be today at 4 pm in Greenwood
Memorial Gardens. Blyth Funeral Home is in charge.

A while back, I wrote seeking help as to the placement of Oscar C. Coursey,
who was NOT the O. C. Coursey in North Augusta, Aiken Co, in the 1920
census. Information above, and contact with the son, James Thomas Coursey,
Jr. has led me to attach Oscar C. Coursey to this family. (May, 21, 2009,
according to James Thomas Coursey, Jr., <>, his
father's brother Oscar had a daughter Virginia who married a Proctor. The
Gussie Mae Butler Coursey obit lists a daughter Virginia Proctor, thus
allowing me to merge the two Oscars I had in my files and attach him to wife
and to parents and daughter.

This seems to be this family through gen. 3. Some of these folks are
living, so I am not posting all dates.
