Dear list,
Is there any one here researching the African-American James family of
Florence, SC?
My grand mother's name was Hannah Peterson-born(unknown). Rumor in family
says that she was born in Rome, Ga. She moved up to Albany, NY in the 50's.
She died
in 1967 in Albany, NY and buried at St. Agnes
Cemetery-Waterveliet, NY. She married 2 times
1. Harvey Douglas(No info)
2. Simon James

I am sorry I have no more info. If anyone has the 1920 Florence County, SC
census maybe i could have more info. Thank you.
