Everyone must be on vacation or the summer heat has got the best of
them. If you are truly Southern, then this hot and muggy weather plus
the smell of gardenias in the air is just a memory of times gone by. (I
really like the smell of gardenias but I don't know how my ancestors did
without air conditioning)

Most of my surnames are not limited to Florence County, but include the
surrounding areas such as Marion, Horry and Williamsbury.
