Karen, the best place to start when you are looking for a Rev. War
Hero/Heroine in any of the 13 Colonies is the Departmenet of Archives and
History. They have the early records from the Rev.War Period
You would write to:
South Carolina Department of Archives and History
P.O. Box11669
Capitol Station
Columbia, SC. 29211
They will let you know what they find and how much the charge for copying
is. Send them a money order (safest) and they will send you the
information.
There are some very nice people working at the SC Dept of Archives & History
and they have been wonderful in helping this Mississippi Native find
information on my South Carolina ancestors.
Good luck.
