Surname: Jones, White, Scruggs, Templeton, Mayfield

Researching descendants of William and Mary Whitlock Jones. He was born
in 1735 in England or Wales, came to VA about 1750, married Mary Whitlock.
They later moved to Caswell County, NC and then about 1793 to the Laurens/Greenville
county area. They had 10 children.

Interested in finding out if Solomon Jones, the Roadmaker for whom Jones
Gap Rd. in Northern Greenville County is named, is a son of either Thomas
or Richard Jones, sons of William and Mary.

Have a considerable amount of information about 4 of their children. Would
be happy to hear from any who are also working on this family and to share
information.
