Hi Tim - In looking in the cemetery book -
"The Presence of the Past" Greenville County -
I found the following:

Pleasant Grove Church - (On Hwy 14 and S. Buncombe Rd, near Sptbg border)

HUDSON, Eliza - wife of J.N. Hudson - 10-4-1858 : 9-12-88

HUDSON, Samuel, son of J.N. & E.A. Hudson 8-1888 : 4-1889

** by looking at the dates I wonder if Eliza died from some childbirth
complications and Samuel also died a short time later??

Were your Hudsons from VA by chance? I have one (Mary Hudson MOON died
abt 1795) in Lunenburg VA.
I have the dates on all the other Hudson children if you need them let
me know. Kj
