md Emily F. Smith b 16 Nov 1840 - d 16 Nov 1879
d/o John Dawson Smith and Elizabeth Brockman

His 2nd wifw was-
Maria M. Smith b 1 Jan 1835 - d 21 May 1921
d/o John Dawson Smith and Elizabeth Brockman
She was 1st married to Hembree Green that was killed in the Civil War.
