I was looking through the 1830 SC Ancestry census images for John Clark/Clarke. There were
26 of them in SC in 1830. There was one John Clark in the Big Fork section of Greenville
Co. living by a John Salmon who, if the hash marks were right, was in his 60s with a wife in
her fifties. The hash marks say this John Clarke was in his 20s where mine was probably in
his thirties, but I'm curious since my John Clarke's wife was Jennie Sammons/Salmon. Does
anyone have any idea who this John Salmon and/or John Clark were?
