I am looking for information on Nancy Bowling in the late 1790's and
1800's in Greenville County, SC.
All the information I have is found in the will of John Ayres in 1808.
In the will it is stated that John Ayres had a child by Nancy Bowling,
now the wife of John Cooper. The child's name was Benjamin Bowling and
John Ayres left money for his keeping. I believe this John Cooper to be
the son of Thomas T. Cooper and Elizabeth Rea of Henry County, VA. Two
of Elizabeth's sisters: Sarah and Rebecca married Bollings in VA.
I believe that a group of Coopers and Bollings came to SC and settled in
the Greenville and Anderson/Pickens areas.
Any help would be appreciated.
